Reflections

Judge Not

Your reflection shows just skin

You think you are fat and need to be thin

Yet there is beauty within

To please all of society

You will see all your flaws

Skin deep, there is beauty there

Not in clothes, makeup or hair

To judge others by that alone

It’s just not fair

“You are a three on a scale from one to ten”

Why do you care what number you are to them

You don’t know how beautiful someone really is until you really look

Judging a book by it’s cover

Don’t do that to one another

You are beautiful inside and out

But it seems you have forgotten

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, I wonder if that’s another lie we’ve been taught

You were made beautifully, is that not what we are all taught?

Sadly, some think that they are not

Don’t believe the mirror’s lies

So start and do your part

Remember that God is the artist and that you are the art
