STA’s Annual Haunted House

Halloween is coming this Wednesday October 31st, which means planning for this year’s Haunted House is well underway. The Haunted House is an annual tradition of STA. Every year the gym is transformed into an attraction for all students to attend on their lunches. The House will run on Halloween on both third and fourth period lunches, with a $2 entry fee.

This year’s House is being planned by Lauren McCabe and Lisa Papara, two twelfth grade students who acted as social conveners on our student council last year. The girls have been volunteering lots of their time to plan the event. According to Lisa, “we wanted to make this year’s Haunted House much scarier than past years, and encourage a lot of student involvement in order to create an all-around positive and fun environment for STA.” The girls are emphasizing that anyone can help out with this school event, and encourage people to contact them via Instagram, Snapchat, or school email if they’d like to help bring the House to life.

The theme for the house this year is “Tom’s Farm”, meaning on the 31st, the gym will become a spooky rural property. Admission is $2, and tickets can be purchased on the 31st in the atrium. Lauren encourages everyone to come out to “support student council, school spirit, and be a part of this fun annual activity!”
